Help Save Dog Walking Recreation at Milagra Ridge!
Located on the ridge between Pacifica and San Bruno, Milagra Ridge encompasses 249 acres just north of Sweeney Ridge. At 1,200 feet elevation, Milgra Ridge (a former Nike missile site) provides stunning views the Pacific Ocean, the Farallon Islands, Point Reyes, San Pedro Mountain, Montara Mountain, Mussel Rock, Mori Point, San Pedro Point and the Pacifica city shoreline. Under GGNRA's proposed rule for dog management, approximately half of all on-leash dog walking trails on Milagra Ridge would be lost. People walking with more than three dogs would not have access to any trails at Milagra Ridge. Under this plan, Milagra Ridge would become a through trail only with no loop options. Turning around will be a dog walkers only choice, leading to increased trail congestion.
